PAT Testing
We follow the Industry-standard Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.

We offer a range of service levels:
Ÿ
Formal Visual Inspection
Ÿ
Combined Inspection and Testing
Ÿ
Minor repairs
Ÿ
Phased inspections
Ÿ
Comprehensive  Test Reports
The first visit will include the completion of an Equipment Register, which will identify all the appliances that require inspection and/or testing. This will also show the recommended frequency of retesting.
Each item will be assigned a unique number, which will enable it to be tracked in the future.
Each item will be visually inspected and if necessary tested. It will then have a label affixed which shows whether the item has passed or failed.
Items that fail the inspection and test will have a failure label attached and will be noted on the inspection report. After all testing is complete, the results will be discussed with the organisation’s “responsible person” before any rectification is attempted. Some items may be condemned and Fairwinds Electrical will recommend that the item be made unusable. Items that can be made safe by minor action will be rectified if time permits and by agreement.
