At the time of change of ownership
By landlords between tenant changeovers
Regular inspection schedule for commercial or industrial installations
For peace of mind in domestic installations where a house may have been subject to years of DIY upgrades.

Electrical Installation Certificate - EIC
The Electrical Installation Certificate is used for new installations or for additions or alterations to an existing installation where new circuits have been introduced.
The certificate will show the name of the Designer, Installer and Inspector and will have a description of the whole installation and a set of test measurements. This certificate will be issued by Fairwinds Electrical Ltd upon completion of work, unless the Minor Works Certificate is applicable.
Minor Works Certificate – MWC
The Minor Works Certificate is used to certify additions and alterations to installations that do not need new circuits. For example, the replacement of lighting fittings and the addition of new 13A sockets.
These certificates are valuable documents and should be kept in a safe place.
All electrical installations or inspections undertaken by Fairwinds Electrical Ltd will be accompanied by one of these certificates, as required by BS7671 17th edition.
